Surrey Infantry Museum

Clandon Park, a Grade I-listed home, built in 1720, was 95 per cent destroyed by a fire in April 2015. The Surrey Infantry Museum was located within the National Trust property. The collection told the story of the most senior English infantry regiment from 1661 to the present day. Sadly the majority of the collection was destroyed though some items were recovered from the site. Farcroft have been contracted to restore a number of items icluding the “Lovelace Tankard” below and numerous Regimental Medals. This page will be updated as restoration to the artefacts continue.
